For SDRs

From zero to a $1M year by 2031.

Golden Geese finds elite SDR candidates, coaches them, and puts them in front of the AI companies that are hiring right now.

Who do you think is the best living salesperson?

The correct answer — by track record and net worth — is Elon Musk. He's proof that the best sellers don't feel like salespeople — smooth talkers with too much hair gel. They can be introverts or extroverts, and they don't fit a stereotype, but they all share a few traits.

They listen

They understand customers by listening more than they speak.

They solve real problems

People buy when you solve their pain, not because of your pitch.

They attract followers

The best sellers stick to their word so reliably that people choose to follow them.

$50K → $100K+ Until recently, SDRs made $50–70K (base + commission). Top SDRs now frequently clear six figures in year one alone.

Tech sales has a branding problem

Branding: For many people, “salesperson” evokes used cars or perfume hawkers at the mall. This perception makes sales feel less prestigious than banking, law, or consulting.

Awareness: Our founder, Paxton, had never heard of software sales until he prospected his way into MongoDB and rose from SDR to enterprise AE. Great tech sellers can come from anywhere — but they need to know this path exists.

Reality: There is no business without sales, and great sellers are paid accordingly. As a pro-athlete-turned-AE once told us, “I know of two normal jobs where you can make $200K one year and $800K the next: pro athlete, and tech seller.” He was right.

What do SDRs actually do?

They sit at the top of the sales funnel — and have uncapped income.

SDRs (sometimes called BDRs) are entry-level tech sellers. Their job is to source the meetings that become sales opportunities — through email, LinkedIn, cold calls, and any creative angle that gets attention with something that actually matters to the customer.

The SDR role isn't always glamourous. It can be a weed-out job in some places. Being a sales rep is hard, psychologically more than anything else — but if it were easy, it wouldn't pay so well. As an SDR, year-one income matters less than the skills and reputation you build. An extra $10k this year is worth less than your trajectory — which can be worth millions later.
